Forged Timber Framing Chisel - Beginner

Courses start summer 2026 Spend the day forging a timber framing chisel built for hard work. Starting from high carbon steel, you’ll shape a thick, durable blade, forge in the tang, and control the geometry so it can take a beating without failing. We’ll cover heat treating for toughness, not brittleness, followed by grinding, sharpening, and fitting a stout handle meant to be struck. The focus is on traditional form, clean work, and tools that last. You’ll leave with a forged timber framing chisel you made yourself, ready for real joinery and jobsite use.
