Forged Hammer

Courses start summer 2026 Spend the day forging your own hammer from solid steel. You’ll start by punching and drifting the eye, then shape the faces and peen with clean, controlled hammer work. This course is about accuracy and fundamentals, getting the proportions right and learning how steel really moves. We’ll heat treat for strength and resilience, clean up the surfaces, and hang it on a properly fitted handle so it feels balanced in your hand. You’ll leave with a forged hammer you built yourself, tuned for real work at the anvil or in the shop.
